Is there sparring or hard contact made when training?

Yes, Kajukenbo is a hard style martial art.

We make contact to invoke realism and to test if what we train is effective.

All sparring will be supervised and controlled to avoid unnecessary injury. Students will be expected to spar within their capability.

A fear of contact or harm is fully normal when starting any sport.

If you prefer avoiding sparring private lessons would be the best option.
